CANCELLATION POLICY:
In the event of inclement weather, courses at the National Security Training Institute (NSTi) may be cancelled. The decision to cancel will be based upon:
Declared local emergency conditions, such as:
- Inclement weather reports
- Recommendations of local authorities
- Condition of roads leading to NSTi to include the condition of the parking lot
Extended loss of electrical power to the facility

In the event of a cancelled course, make-up dates will be offered or the student will be transferred to the next available course delivery date. Refunds will not be offered due to course cancellations as a result of inclement weather-related events.

When a decision is made to cancel a course it will be made no later than 12 hours prior to the scheduled beginning of the course. Students are encouraged to call NSTi at (703) 263-9113 within 12 hours of start of their course, if they are concerned as to whether or not the course will be held. If there is no message indicating course cancellation, the course will be held as scheduled. If the course is held, students are encouraged to use their best judgment regarding whether or not to venture out into inclement weather in order to come to attend the course. All students should expect to receive e-mail notifications of the cancellation and updates will be posted to the NSTi website (www.nstii.com).

Any person who registers for NSTi training and subsequently decides to cancel their enrollment may have their tuition applied to the enrollment of a replacement student of their choosing (the student must be a U.S. Citizen). The replacement student and paid tuition may only be applied to the original course the student registered for.

Student cancellation notifications received by NSTi 22 or more calendar days prior to the first day of the registered class will result in a full refund of any and all tuition payments received. Cancellation notifications (without a replacement student) received by NSTI 21 or fewer calendar days prior to the first day of the registered class will result in partial or full forfeitures of tuition cost as follows:
- 15 to 21 calendar days prior to the first day of class - 10% of the total tuition cost
- 8 to 14 calendar days prior to the first day of class - 50% of the total tuition cost
- 7 days or fewer prior to the first day of class - 100% of the total tuition cost.

PARKING:
Parking at NSTi is generally not an issue. However, students are encouraged to park in non-reserved spaces. Please park straight into a space in order to assure that there is room for all vehicles and other tenants in the building.
